Privacy Policy

Effective March 31, 2026

This policy explains, in plain language, what information EdenFlow uses to provide account, Bible reading, notification, subscription, and study features.

Who this policy applies to

This Privacy Policy applies to EdenFlow, which is provided by Huntlease LLC, a Maryland company in the United States. If you have any privacy questions, requests, or deletion requests, contact casey@huntlease.co.

Information EdenFlow collects

EdenFlow may collect account details you provide, such as your name and email address, along with app activity and account-linked data like saved verses, recent Bible searches, last-read passages, notification preferences, subscription status, and related account identifiers.

How information is used

This information is used to authenticate your account, sync your library across devices, personalize your experience, send requested notifications, restore purchases, serve ads to eligible free users, support Theology Coach, protect the app from abuse, and operate or improve the app.

Third-party services

EdenFlow relies on third-party providers including Supabase for backend services and authentication, RevenueCat for subscriptions, Expo for app infrastructure and notifications, OpenAI for AI-powered study features, Appodeal for advertising where enabled, PostHog for product analytics, and Apple App Store or Google Play for billing and platform services.

How data is collected

We collect information directly from you when you create an account, save content, manage settings, subscribe, contact support, or use study features. We also collect certain information automatically from your device and app usage, and we may receive subscription, transaction, and platform-related information from Apple, Google, RevenueCat, Appodeal, Expo, Supabase, OpenAI, and PostHog as needed to provide the service.

Push notifications

If you enable Daily Bread notifications, EdenFlow stores a device-specific push token and related preference data so verses can be delivered to this device at your chosen schedule. These records may also include device-specific identifiers and timezone or scheduling data needed to send notifications correctly.

Ads, analytics, and device data

EdenFlow uses Appodeal to support advertising for eligible free users and uses PostHog for analytics. These services may collect data such as device identifiers, advertising IDs, IP address, diagnostics, usage events, and approximate location or other ad-related signals to provide, measure, personalize, secure, and improve their services. Premium users receive an ad-free experience.

Theology Coach data

When you use Theology Coach, your prompts and the generated responses are processed to provide the feature. Based on EdenFlow's current implementation, Theology Coach prompts and generated responses are not intentionally stored in EdenFlow's own database as persistent message history. The app currently stores usage and quota state associated with the feature, and third-party providers may process prompts and responses transiently to generate the service.

Your choices

You can turn notifications on or off from the app, manage purchases through the platform billing flow, use the in-app profile screen to delete your account, and contact EdenFlow at casey@huntlease.co to request account deletion, access, correction, or help with privacy questions.

Data retention and deletion

Account and profile data are deleted from live systems within 30 days of a verified deletion request. We may retain the minimum information needed for legal compliance, fraud prevention, security, or dispute-handling for up to 90 days, and app-store or billing records may be kept as long as required by tax or accounting law. Saved verses and reading-state data are deleted with the account from live systems within 30 days, and encrypted backups may persist for up to 30 additional days before aging out. Push tokens and notification preferences are deleted immediately or within 7 days when a user signs out, disconnects a device, or disables notifications for that device, with backups or logs taking up to 30 days to clear. Minimal subscription-status and transaction-reference metadata may be retained for up to 2 years after cancellation for support, fraud, and dispute handling, while limited billing or accounting records may be retained longer where law requires, including potentially up to 7 years. PostHog analytics events are retained for up to 12 months. Server and runtime logs are generally retained for 30 days, although some provider security or debugging logs may be retained for up to 90 days.

International and regional rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to your personal data, request correction, request deletion, object to certain processing, or request portability, subject to legal limitations. This includes rights that may be available under applicable U.S. state privacy laws and, where applicable, GDPR or UK GDPR. You may exercise these rights by contacting casey@huntlease.co.

Children's privacy

EdenFlow is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through EdenFlow, please contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information, including access controls, vendor-managed infrastructure, and encrypted transmission where supported. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and may provide additional notice within the app or through other reasonable means where appropriate.
